OUR PRACTICE AREAS
COMPANY, COMMERCIAL AND TAX LAW
GSLaw LLP provides legal services to clients across many different industries.
We also provide comprehensive legal risk management audit services to both local and international companies. Strategic management of legal risks is done to protect the value and assets of companies.
i. We conduct legal audits and assess the legal risks stemming from companies' contracts, legal disputes, assets, intellectual property, new laws and regulations.
ii. We identify and provide solutions that relate to governance structures, taxation, liability, disputes and litigation, tangible assets, human capital, intellectual property and compliance with legal and regulatory instruments.
A key aspect of this is contracts: negotiating favourable contract terms, drafting complex template contracts with protective clauses, identifying breaches of contracts, compliance failures, risk of penalties and reputational damage, mitigating loss and monitoring contract performance.
As well as litigation, we offer commercial arbitration and mediation in commercial disputes with a view to averting unnecessary litigation and minimising costs.
We also offer legal drafting services drafting complex commercial contracts and agreements.
GSLaw LLP's knowledge of internal and external environments of institutions; sensitivity to public policy, government and political agendas; awareness of the impact of economic, political, regulatory and legal changes on industry and institutions; and awareness of emerging challenges and opportunities within the corporate and business world give us an edge in the business world.

GSLaw LLP recognises that many women and children who access our services seeking legal redress for gender based violence do not have legal representation because they are ineligible for government-funded legal aid and cannot afford to retain a private lawyer.
As such, GSLaw LLP offers free legal representation to these women and children where the legal issue is a family law, domestic violence, child protection or immigration law matter.
HEALTH CARE LAW
GSLaw LLP is also taking up matters of medical malpractice. These include medical negligence during child birth, child theft, swooping and trafficking in hospitals at birth, among others.
For medical malpractice cases, a patient has to prove that the doctor did not fulfill (or "breached") the duty of care owed to the patient - that he or she lacked the level of skill, expertise, and care possessed and practiced by doctors in the same or similar community - and that the breach of duty caused the patient harm.
